CLIF Grant - Year of the Book:

We cannot stop celebrating the excitement for our CLiF Grant being awarded. This week we took a moment to hold a "flower parade" to thank Mrs. Lawyer for all the hard work she put into the grant application and the work to come. This grant will set the stage for many wonderful events and performances in the up coming school year.

Kindergarten Registration: Windsor's kindergarten registration will take place on Thursday and Friday, May 14th and 15th. During this time we welcome our upcoming kindergarten students and take time to meet and connect with families. There is no school for current kindergartners. If you have an incoming student, you should receive information from the office in the near future. Be sure to call the school with any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you on the 14th and 15th.

Student Led Conferences:

During the spring sessions students will present their progress towards their individual goals and share in conversations with families about their school day and performance. Our students have been working hard to plan their presentations and select work to represent their goals and achievements. You should have scheduled a time to come to school and meet with your child's teacher, but it is still not too late if you haven't.

Books, Books, Books!

We still have an abundance of books to give away to families. During conferences we will put these in the trophy case at the main entrance. Please take a look and help yourself to some free summer reading for your children.

Lost and Found:

Please take a look through our lost and found items when you are in the building. There are so many items hanging around that I am sure you would like to have back in your homes.

2026 School Visit from WISE

Windsor School continues to partner with WISE to bring developmentally targeted lessons on building safe and healthy relationships. This year, WISE will deliver program material to grades K-5 from April 13th-17 and April 27th to May 1st, the weeks before and after our Spring Vacation! K-4 will have two 30-minute lessons, and 5th grade will have two 45-minute lessons.

The WISE school program builds on concepts year to year with age-appropriate messages to develop protective skills, empathy, and safety. Topics include body privacy, asking for help, friendships, managing conflict, and gender stereotypes. For a more detailed description of the program, please see these links:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Our school is implementing a whole-school transformational process called the Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Our school will be conducting surveys to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. The data from these surveys will also help us track the impacts of the Leader in Me process and implement key practices more fully. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what's going on in our school, we are asking all staff members,parents/guardians,and students Grade 4 and up to participate.

If you DO NOT want your child to participate in the survey, please complete the attached form, and return it to school by April 24th. You may also email your building principal to opt out of the survey. Your decision to deny permission will not in any way influence your child’s grades or your relationship with any member of our school. If you have any questions about the survey or wish to see a list of potential questions, please contact the school office.

Middle School Good News

This Week - Eighth grade students were re-working their Balloon Drop Capsule designs. We are happy to report that approximately 14 students were able to improve their prototype and had a successful balloon drop without the splatter. Way to go!

Student-led Conferences are occurring the week of April 13 - 17. Our MS Advisors will be reaching out to parents to schedule a time to hear from your child about their learning. Students have been working hard on their presentations and we hope to give every student an audience to hear all about their growth. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Theater Performance - Join us for a special showcase of entertainment as our talented middle school theater students take the stage! This performance is a mix ofmusical numbersandshort theatrical scenesthat our students have been working incredibly hard to perfect. From laugh-out-loud comedy sketches to show-stopping songs, it is a wonderful opportunity to support the arts and cheer on our young performers. Thursday, April 30th, at 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM, in the WHS Theater. We can't wait to see you in the audience!

National Junior Honor Society - Congratulations to our newest members of the NJHS! Last evening, Zoe, Roxanne, Lucy, Jaziah, Emery, Madilynn, Michael and Robert took the membership oath with the support of their families and fellow NJHS members. We look forward to watching which paths they take as they grow. Thank you to Mr. Theo Avent for serving as our dedicated advisor and trusted adult who has encouraged and helped all of our members.

Junior and Senior Prom 2026: Prom this year is May 16th, 2026. The theme is "Once Upon a Time, Where Everyone Gets Their Fairytale." Pictures at Saint Gaudens at 1:30. Grand March at 6:00 at Mount Ascutney Resort. Prom to follow 7:00 -10:00. Tickets are currently on sale. Students must meet behavior and attendance expectations to attend all social events including Prom. ALL STUDENTS WHO ARE TAKING A GUEST OUTSIDE OF WINDSOR HIGH SCHOOL MUST HAVE THE FORM TURNED IN BY MAY 1. GUESTS MUST BE OF HIGH SCHOOL AGE AND ENROLLED IN A HIGH SCHOOL OR HOME STUDY PROGRAM.
