So Much to Celebrate!
This week we concluded our final assessments for the school year. We could not be more proud of the hard work and growth the students have shown. We continually ask them to give these assessments all that they have and that is exactly what they did. The growth is something to celebrate, so that is exactly what we did. A short celebration for the whole school with a popsicle dance party just before sending everyone off for the long weekend. Way to go Windsor. You have made us all very proud!
Final Leadership Assembly:
Our final Leadership Assembly will take place on Friday, June 12th at 8:10. At this assembly will be take time to celebrate our Leadership Team, our 5th grade students, the monthly award winners and hear from our second grade students. Please plan to attend this final event of the school year.

Best Wishes!
As the year ends we have to say good-bye to some of our amazing staff.
Miss Emily will be taking the next step in her career and moving on to student teaching. We wish her the best of luck and hope she returns to Windsor soon.
Miss Anna is moving away from the area to complete her degree. Thank you so much for all that you have given to our school.
Miss Eve has decided to not return next year. Thank you Eve for all that work you have done as the permanent substitute.
Mr. Duguay and his family are moving to northern Vermont. He will be greatly missed and math will not be the same without him. Thank you Mr. Duguay for loving math like no one else can.

Middle School Good News
This Week - During the ELA, eighth grade readThe Outsiders, a right of passage that generations of students have read since it was published in 1967. We used a variety of strategies to support our independent reading and came together to discuss and debate questions raised in the storyline. How much do our looks define us, how far would we go to help a friend, and should Johnny have been charged with the murder of Bob Sheldon? We capped off finishing the book with a dress up day inspired by Outsiders characters and watched the movie.
Also this week, students created art projects, such as painted rocks, nature poetry and an outdoor mud kitchen for our school garden and elementary play spaces, This is a part of our middle school students preparing ecology lessons for our younger students. We look forward to seeing all the lessons shared with our K-5 classes.
8th Grade Scheduling - Students met with the high school counselors on May 5th to talk about registering for their 9th grade courses. They were given a pink form to fill out and look over with their families. Please have your student return these so the high school counselors can work on creating their schedules for next year. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Meade, high school counselor, at madison.murphy@wsesu.net
WSESU Middle School Musicians - The SU music team will be taking our music students on our annual trip to Six Flags on May 29th. They will compete against other schools from around New England in the morning and spend the afternoon at the amusement park. Please reach out to Mr. Stammelman or Ms. Wood if you have any questions.
